Il "New Musical Express" ha reso nota la lista completa delle nomination degli NME Awards. I premi saranno consegnati alla 02 Academy Brixton di Londra il prossimo 29 febbraio. Conducono la corsa gli Arctic Monkeys, con sette menzioni. Il gruppo di Sheffield dovrà vedersela con Kasabian, Bombay Bicycle Club, Horrors e Muse per uno dei titoli più ambìti, il "Best British band". Kasabian, Florence And The Machine e Muse sono in lizza in tre categorie mentre Horrors, Hurts e Vaccines hanno ricevuto due nomination. Noel e Liam Gallagher avranno certamente altra benzina per le loro polemiche dopo che i Beady Eye di Liam si ritrovano nella sezione "Worst band" mentre Noel è in quella "Best solo artist"; ma c'è anche di peggio, visto che Noel corre nella lista "Eroi" e Liam in quella "Furfanti".
